EU long-term resident status in Poland. What should be checked before applying?

An application for EU long-term resident status requires more than counting the years spent in Poland. The character and continuity of the residence history, periods spent outside Poland and other statutory conditions need to be considered together.

Not every period of stay is assessed in the same way

Different legal bases of stay may have different significance for the long-term resident route. A chronological review of the applicant’s immigration history is therefore an important part of preparation.

Absences and supporting conditions need to be checked

Time spent outside Poland and the applicant’s current circumstances may affect eligibility. These issues are better identified before the application is filed rather than after the authority raises them.

We review the residence history before the procedure begins

TRC Poland Law & Immigration assesses the available residence documents and the client’s history in Poland before determining whether the long-term resident route is appropriate and how the case should be prepared.
