An error found in a residence decision or residence card can have different significance depending on what is incorrect and when the information changed. An obvious clerical mistake is different from data that became outdated after the decision was issued.
The source of the discrepancy should be identified first
It matters whether the incorrect information already appeared in the application, was introduced in the decision or only appears on the physical card. The appropriate response depends on where the problem arose.
Outdated information may result from a later change
A new passport, changed name, address or other personal data may make existing information outdated without meaning that the authority made an error. That distinction should be made before further action.
We review the decision, card and case documents together
TRC Poland Law & Immigration assesses the relevant documents and determines the nature of the issue and the appropriate steps to bring the records into order.
This material is general in nature and does not replace an assessment of an individual case. In residence and employment matters, the relevant documents, previous course of proceedings and the client’s circumstances may affect the appropriate legal and procedural approach.
