The EU Blue Card is linked to highly qualified employment, so a change of employer or material employment conditions may have direct immigration significance. The current decision and proposed new arrangement should be reviewed together.
The existing Blue Card decision is the starting point
The wording of the decision and the conditions on which the permit was granted should be examined before assuming that a new employer or new terms can be introduced without further action.
Employer change and conditions change are not always the same issue
A case may involve only a new employer, or it may also include a different position, salary or contractual structure. The immigration assessment should reflect the actual scope of the change.
We assess the Blue Card and the proposed employment together
TRC Poland Law & Immigration reviews the current permit, the client’s status and the planned employment and determines how the change should be handled from both residence and employment perspectives.
This material is general in nature and does not replace an assessment of an individual case. In residence and employment matters, the relevant documents, previous course of proceedings and the client’s circumstances may affect the appropriate legal and procedural approach.
